Within the framework of the Global Recycling Week, the 4evergreen Alliance is pleased to invite you to the hybrid conference: “The Circularity Challenge: How Recycling Contributes Towards the European Green Deal”, taking place on Wednesday September 21 from 9.00 to 12:00 CEST.
The event will be a great opportunity to find out more about the innovative nature of the fibre-based packaging industry. Whilst being an industry with a long history of efficiency, innovation has always been a central facet of the journey to making fibre-based packaging the most recycled packaging material by volume in Europe.
In the first section of this event, you will hear from policymakers and industry leaders as they look at how Europe can develop on its position as a leader in the recycling industry, with European materials and European technologies.
In the second half of the event, we will take a deep dive into innovation, design, and recyclability – bringing a wide array of perspectives together. The event will also look to initiate a constructive discussion about the concept of recycling – what defines different recycling processes and what are the implications of this in upcoming legislation.
We hope to see you there!
About 4evergreen
4evergreen is a cross-industry alliance perfecting the circularity of fibre-based packaging to contribute to a climate-neutral and sustainable society. Our goal is to raise the overall recycling rate of fibre-based packaging to 90% by 2030. We bring a particular focus on packaging with a lower circularity performance today, namely the types used for household, out-of-home and on-the-go consumption. You can find more information here.
