You may be aware that European forests have grown by over 50,000 km² in the last 15 years, but the European forestry industry has now expressed its commitment to support the European Commission initiative to plant an additional 3 billion trees by 2030! Converting more land areas into forests will enhance both bioeconomy and biodiversity and new areas to be afforested and reforested could provide high added value for Europe. Read the Objective
