During 2022, Pro Carton has been committed to the #GreenSource Initiative, the 4evergreen Alliance and the Fibre Packaging Europe Coalition.
Each of these has a different focus for the fibre packaging industry – communication, co-operation and advocacy.
They each share a common goal – to promote the use of cartons and cartonboard as an economically and ecologically balanced packaging medium.
By aligning forces, we increase our leverage as an industry!
#GreenSource
The #GreenSource initiative is a European-wide effort to explain and communicate the benefits of the forest fibre-based industry and how it aims to make the 2050 climate neutrality target a reality.
#GreenSource focuses on social media activity to promote the reputation of the industry and showcase its positive contributions to society in line with the priorities of the EU Green Deal.
#GreenSource incorporates 4 member organisations: ACE, Cepi, EPIS and Pro Carton.
4evergreen
4evergreen is a cross-industry alliance that fosters synergies among companies promoting low-carbon and circular fibre-based packaging. By bringing together the entire value chain, 4evergreen enables co-operation with a comprehensive outlook on fibre-based packaging’s life cycle.
The 4evergreen Steering Group is made up of pulp, paper and board manufacturers and recyclers, non-fibre material suppliers, packaging producers and converters and brand owners across Europe.
Fibre Packaging Europe (FPE)
Fibre Packaging Europe (FPE) is an informal coalition of seven trade associations that represent industries involved in forestry, pulp, paper, board & carton production and recycling from across Europe.
FPE focuses on understanding EU legislation that impacts our industry and working with policymakers to ensure that stakeholder expertise and scientific evidence are considered during the ordinary legislative processes.
FPE members are ACE, Cepi, ECMA, EPPA, FEFCO, Pro Carton and Swedish Forest Industries.
