This video should educate people with no knowledge about cartons. As a group we tried to make it as interesting as possible by using the ASMR technique and added some background information about cartons. The main message is that cartons gives you a good comfort factor.
“It was a lot of fun to participate in the Pro Carton Student Video Award! This way we were able to focus more on the sustainability of cardboard boxes and at the same time, we could contribute something to it. We were also very happy to be part of the Pro Carton E-vent, thanks again for having us!”

We follow a talking carton during a pretty adventurous day in his life.
He starts life as just the packaging of a product that, and as soon as it has fulfilled its purpose, will be thrown away.
Of course, as with any respected talking carton, he whines all the time! But his bad luck stops when Alice, a young girl, saves him from the rubbish bin and makes a wonderful, brand new, pinhole camera of him.
“The Pro Carton Student Video Award was for us an incredible experience. Since the beginning, we had to face so many challenges and test our limits, and what could have been just a contest became a very big chance of growth for all of us. And when we discovered we had won we couldn’t be happier! We’d never thank enough the staff at Pro Carton for the help and support they gave us, this was one of the best moments in our student career, and gave us the confidence to dream more.”

The video follows the journey of a struggling musician alongside the journey of a carton box from when it gets into the hands of the musician until it degrades into nature. We see the ups and downs of both journeys and how the carton affects the life of the musician.
The event was an amazing experience as, throughout the whole event, we could see hundreds of innovative ideas and meet the people behind them. (Even though our category was a video contest, we were inspired by lots of design ideas as well.)
Our team was very motivated after the ceremony, and we started to plan for the next year’s contest. Hopefully, see you again next year as a finalist, or maybe the winner.”

My video is an animated exploration of aspects of the cartonboard industry which I found to be most important or impactful. I tried to balance between design and the environment, feeling strongly towards both. An effective, fun and engaging advertisement for the industry.
“I must say the Pro Carton experience was a very positive one. The competition is what got me making videos regularly again as I hadn’t made a video in two years. I look forward to entering next year!”
