The forest-based industry plays an essential role in reaching the objectives of the ambitious EU Green Deal. The sector wishes to offer innovative solutions to the needs of the European citizens and contribute to a sustainable lifestyle while making sure that forests keep growing, absorbing CO2 and protecting biodiversity.
It is also important to reflect on the current state of play and have a common message as an industry. Therefore, we invite you to be a part of the upcoming Cepinar where we hear from experts from the sector address different aspects from circular packaging, resource efficiency and sustainable forest management to the implications of the latest EU Forest Strategy and the Regulation for Deforestation-free Products.
Additionally, we will also present #Greensource which is a joint social media campaign lead by Cepi, EPIS, Pro Carton, ACE and EOS. The campaign was created in 2020 as a European-wide effort to explain how the forest-fibre industries can make the 2050 climate neutrality target a reality.
