Vena's main goal is improving the current inconvenience of disposing used tampons, focusing on sustainability and user experience. Most women use a significant amount of waste, such as toilet paper, to dispose of tampons, especially in public spaces because of hygienic and visual concerns. Vena aims to be more eco-friendly by avoiding the use of any glue in assembly. Packages stack in a comb arrangement on market shelves. The design is well-thought in terms of the carriage and disposal processes. Each tampon is individually packaged to ensure hygiene and ease carriage. The process of using tampons involves vertical motions which is reflected in Vena's form. Using tampons is challenging, so the design focuses on simplifying this process with an easy-to-use lid, both for insertion and disposal.
