A beautiful gift box with excellent visibility of the product. The six corners symbolise the six Japanese botanicals used in Roku (Roku means six in Japanese), which are distilled and mixed with traditional gin botanicals with Japanese craftsmanship. The packaging is easy to erect and fill and protects the contents perfectly – without the need for a plastic insert. The botanicals are embossed in the background, with highlights in hot foil, combined with a soft-touch varnish. The interior walls are covered with colourful flowers that convey Japanese courtesy and warmth. The result is a great “First Moment of Truth” on the shelf – an eye-catching gift box that will bring joy to family or friends.
Jury Comments
The Roku Gin pack is what I would call a complete carton. One that is aesthetically appealing on shelf, well-constructed and working with the product, the shape feels good in the hand and the soft touch and graphics, both external and internal, complete the package. However, the detail of adding the product story, on the pack talking about the botanicals as well as a recipe suggestion is all about talking to the consumer, assuring them that they have purchased a premium quality product.
