This position is located in Tampere.   What will you get to do?   As Communications Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and developing internal and external communications for the Finland and Baltics area, focusing on Mänttä Mill communications and ensuring alignment with Metsä Tissue's central communications plans and guidelines. You will have the opportunity to create, develop, and implement various communication projects, campaigns, and events, and create content together with our international communication team. You will work closely with Mänttä Mill local HR, managers, and the regional management team to support communications across the organization.   Your main responsibilities include:
  • Managing internal and external communications for Finland and the Baltics
  • Supporting strategy implementation, including investments and projects, through effective and engaging communication
  • Planning, executing, and developing local communications in alignment with Metsä Tissue’s communications strategy
  • Producing high-quality communication materials and organizing events
  • Supporting employer branding initiatives in collaboration with HR
  • Managing crisis communication together with the local Mänttä Mill team
  • Maintaining and updating local intranet content
  • Advising and supporting the local management team and organization on communication needs
  • Assisting with regional communications as needed
  What kind of skills are we looking for?   You are familiar with strategy communication and have solid experience in content production for different channels, a strong interest in sustainability and internal communication, as well as the ability to independently produce and share high-quality content. You are precise, and reliable, thriving in a dynamic, hands-on environment. With curiosity, creativity, and a strong sense of urgency, you collaborate effectively across teams and take full ownership of communication planning, execution, and processes.   The manufacturing and production environment is familiar to you, and you are business-minded, adaptable to change, and committed to delivering results. You are eager to utilize new tools like AI and play an active role in building a strong communication culture locally.   We expect you to have:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 3–5 years of experience in internal and external communications
  • Fluent in Finnish and excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in crisis communication and management
  • Experience in communication within a manufacturing and production environment
  • Strong understanding of communication processes and channels
  • Ability to support business, drive strategy implementation, and foster a strong communication culture
  • Excellent networking skills and ability to work in a matrix organization
  • Proficiency in MS Office and digital tools
  • Experience in an international company environment and working with media is an advantage
  Your location will be in Tampere, Finland, and you will report to Director, Communications.
